• Born on the 13th of march 1700 in Besancon, France
• Autodidact and soon becoming the best flutist of his time in France.
• First flutist at the Paris opera.
• Left handed
• Being praised by Quantz, Marpurg and Voltaire
• Friedrich der Große tried invande to make him move at his court.
• Composed a lot of music for the flute (sonatas, menuets, duets...)
• Died on the 28th of october 1768 in Paris
